7 government colleges affiliated to Dhaka University are respectively (1) Dhaka College (2) Kabi Nazrul Government College (3) Eden Women's College (4) Begum Badarresa Government Women's College (5) Government Shaheed Suhrawardy College (6) Government Bangla College (2) Govt. Applications are invited for admission to the Undergraduate Program for the academic year 2023-24 in the Departments of Business Education at Titumir College.
Seats of Eden Women's College and Begum Badrunnessa Government Women's College will be reserved for female students only and Dhaka College seats will be reserved for students only. Besides, both male and female students can get admission in Government Titumir College, Kabi Nazrul Government College, Government Shaheed Sohrawadi College, and Government Bangla College. The admission process of the Undergraduate Program for the academic year 2023-24 in the departments of business education branch of the above-mentioned colleges will be completed through the Faculty of Business Studies of Dhaka University. Certificates of degrees obtained will be issued by Dhaka University. Any other benefit of the University does not apply to admitted students.

Eligibility Criteria and Initial Application Form:
Eligibility Criteria:
- Students who have completed their higher secondary education in Business Studies / 'A' Level / Business Management are eligible to apply.
- Those who passed the secondary and higher secondary examinations between 2018 and 2021, and the higher secondary or equivalent examinations in 2023, are eligible to apply.
- Candidates must have obtained a minimum GPA of 6.50 in the secondary and higher secondary or equivalent examinations in Business Studies to participate in the admission test. Candidates from the Business Management group must have a minimum grade point of 3.0 in Accounting.
- Students who have passed at least 5 subjects in IGCSE/O Level and at least 2 subjects in IAL/GCE A Level are eligible to apply. Only those who had Business Studies/Accounting/Economics/Mathematics as one of their subjects in A Level are eligible to apply.
- Equivalence Assessment: Candidates who completed their education under foreign curricula or from open universities must apply for equivalence assessment on the website https://collegeadmission.eis.du.ac.bd under the 'Equivalence Application' menu. After equivalence assessment, candidates can use the obtained 'Equivalence ID' to apply for the admission test.
- Application Fee Payment Method: From March 21, 2024, to April 25, 2024, candidates must apply online on the website https://collegeadmission.eis.du.ac.bd and pay the admission test fee of BDT 800.00 through one of the designated commercial banks of Bangladesh or via any debit/credit card or mobile financial service.
- Inclusion Criteria: Candidates falling under the following categories - children of DU teachers/staff/employees, indigenous/ethnic minorities, physically challenged individuals, freedom fighters (descendants), and athletes (only those who passed from Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishtan "BKSP") - must indicate their category during the online application.
- The admission test will be held on May 11, 2024, at 11:00 AM.
- The venue for the admission test will be announced through the website https://collegeadmission.eis.du.ac.bd.
- The test will be conducted in Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) format, and candidates are prohibited from using calculators, mobile phones, or any electronic devices during the examination.
- Candidates' scores in the admission test and their scores/grades in the secondary and higher secondary examinations will determine their merit for admission.
- A merit list of students will be prepared based on a total of 120 marks, calculated by converting secondary and higher secondary examination scores to a scale of 100 marks each.
- The admission test will comprise 100 questions, carrying a total of 100 marks, with a duration of 1 hour allotted for the examination.
- The purpose of the admission test is to evaluate the knowledge acquired in the higher secondary level curriculum of the academic year 2022-2023. The question paper distribution for the Business Studies Unit is as follows:
a) Business Studies Unit:

- Business Organization and Management (20 marks)
- Production Management and Marketing/Finance, Banking, and Insurance (any one, 20 marks)
b) A Level:
- English (Compulsory) (25 marks)

- Accounting* (25 marks)
- Economics* (25 marks)
- Mathematics* (25 marks)
Candidates must answer any two subjects from the specified list.
Publication and Procedures of Merit List:

A total of 4892 candidates will be selected for admission consideration, consisting of 4502 merit-based candidates and 390 quota-based candidates. To pass the test, candidates must score a minimum of 40 out of 100 marks.

A merit list will be prepared considering the scores obtained in the secondary and higher secondary examinations. All eligible candidates, including those under the quota system, will be considered for admission.
